BLOW UP FOLD UP
Blow up Fold up is an inflatable ceiling light that can be folded in two directions. A structure created with the help of air makes the lamp foldable.
" What if the lighting is inflatable? "
Inflatable
If there is an inflatable light? The most interesting thing about shapes created by blowing air into them is that unexpected shapes are created. Also, the shape changes depending on the size of the space into which the air enters.
Foldable
During the experiment, I discovered a structure that makes it foldable. The structure I found can be seen in the two sketches below. By making a diamond shaped space in the center where air cannot enter, a foldable structure is created. By welding both sides of the film together, a curved shape can also be created.
Model construction
I experimented to design Light with the structure I found. I thought about what kind of effect I could achieve if I used this structure for lighting, what bulbs I could use where and what materials I would use.
Experimentation with materials and lighting
Blow up Fold up
"Blow up Fold up" is a ceiling lamp that can be adjusted tilt using a structure created by the wind. When you are reading a book or eating, you can fold the legs of the lamp down to illuminate the desk, and when you want to make the room brighter, you can bend the lamp up. The diamond shape in the middle of the lamp creates a structure, which allows the legs of the lamp to fold.
